WELCOME
TO THE CHALLENGE*

CONGRATULATIONS!
You are one step closer to LETTING GO
and reclaiming your peace.

* REMEMBER: In order to enroll in this challenge you must be over 21 years old

Holding on to resentment, past pain, or people/situations that no longer serve us is rarely about the other person or the past event itself. At its core, clinging is an attempt by the nervous system to maintain safety, control, or justice. We hold on because letting go can feel like condoning what happened, accepting an unfair reality, or facing a terrifying void of uncertainty.

To truly forgive and let go, you cannot simply tell yourself to "move on." You must go to the root of why your body and mind are holding on, unshuffle the hidden emotional payoffs, and systematically signal safety to your system so it can finally release its grip.

Here is an efficient, 3-phase 21-day journey designed to guide you through this process.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT GRIEF, ANGER AND BETRAYAL RARELY MOVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE

So the goal here is not to create a self-imposed pressure to "be over it by day 21".

GIVE YOURSELF THE TIME

and move through the assignments at your own pace.

Let each experiment teach you something useful and take a break when emotions arise.

LET'S GET STARTED!

WARNING:

Unplugging emotional cords and reviewing past vulnerabilities can temporarily heighten (boundary) anxieties. Please be gentle with yourself and connect with a trusted person or myselfs when feeling overwhelmed.

Phase 1: Unshuffling the Roots of Holding On (Days 1-7)

Before you can release a boundary or a past memory, you must understand what your system gains by clinging to it.

Day 1: Naming the Anchor

Assignment: Clearly state what or who you are holding on to. Write down the exact story your mind tells you about this situation. Describe how holding this story feels physically in your body (e.g., tightness in the throat, heavy chest, clenched stomach).

Day 2: The Illusion of Protection

Assignment: Ask yourself: What is holding onto this resentment or grief protecting me from feeling right now?(e.g., fear of being vulnerable again, fear of facing emptiness, avoiding grief). Acknowledge that holding on has acted as a shield.

Day 3: Identifying the Hidden Bargain

Assignment: Uncover the unspoken rule you are holding onto. Are you secretly waiting for an apology, a realization, or a rewrite of history? Write down: "I am waiting for Person/Past to __ before I allow myself to be free." Recognize how this hands your emotional sovereignty to the past.

Day 4: Redefining Forgiveness

Assignment: Clarify what forgiveness actually is. Write down this distinction: Forgiveness is not excusing bad behavior, forgetting what happened, or reconciling with someone unsafe. Forgiveness is choosing to stop carrying the burning ember of the past in your own hands.

Day 5: The Cost-Benefit Audit

Assignment: Divide a page into two columns. On the left, write down everything holding onto this past story costs you (your sleep, vital energy, present joy, capacity to trust). On the right, write down what you think you gain by keeping it alive. Notice the imbalance.

Day 6: Tracing Past Vulnerabilities

Assignment: Journal about whether this specific pain mirrors an earlier event from your past or childhood. Does this situation trigger an old, familiar wound of abandonment, betrayal, or invalidation? Separate the present event from the old origin story.

Day 7: The Root-Cause Anchor

Assignment: Summarize your holding-on pattern into one clear statement (e.g., "I am holding onto anger toward X because I fear that letting it go means accepting that justice won't be served, leaving me unprotected"). This is what needs healing, not just the memory.

CONGRATULATIONS

You are two weeks away from putting the weight down!

Phase 2: Deconstructing & Softening the Grip (Days 8–14)

Now that you see the hidden purpose of holding on, you can begin discharging the trapped emotional energy and shifting your perspective.

Assignment: Write a completely unfiltered letter to the person, situation, or past version of yourself. Express every ounce of raw anger, grief, disappointment, and hurt. Do not send it. This is for your nervous system to express what was suppressed.

Day 8: The Unsent Letter (Catharsis)

Assignment: Emotional weight is stored physically. Engage in a conscious somatic release—whether that is intense shaking, crying, heavy exhalations, or singing loud. Let the physical energy move out of your muscles and fascia rather than keeping it locked inside.

Day 9: Somatic Release of the Charge

Day 10: Retracting the Energy Cables

Assignment: Visualize physical cords or cables running from your body to the person or event you are holding onto. Intentionally visualize cutting or gently unplugging those cords, drawing all your energy, power, and attention back into your own center.

Day 11: Reclaiming the Lost Part

Assignment: Often we cling because we feel a part of us (our innocence, joy, trust, or time) was stolen. Ask yourself: What part of myself did I leave behind in that event? Write down how you can give that part of yourself love and protection today.

Day 12: Accepting the Unanswered "Why"

Assignment: Practice making peace with never getting an answer, an apology, or closure from the outside. Write down: "I release the need for them to understand my pain. My closure comes from my own recognition of my experience."

Day 13: Forgiving Yourself First

Assignment: Many times, resentment toward others hides self-blame ("I should have known better," "I should have left earlier"). Write a letter of deep forgiveness to yourself for doing the best you could with the awareness you had at that time.

Day 14: Mid-Program Check-in

Assignment: Re-read what you wrote on Day 1. Has the emotional intensity shifted even by 5%? Notice where the grip has softened, and identify where your defense mechanisms are still trying to hold on for safety.

KEEP GOING!

You are halfway to releasing the grip and reclaiming your present.

Phase 3: Integration, Reclamation, and Freedom (Days 15–21)

Filling the empty space left by what you have released and stepping fully back into your present life

DISCLAIMER: Spiraling back into anger or sadness after Day 15 is normal and does not mean the process failed. Observe and feel your emotions as a witness & ground yourself with a walk in nature or a breathing exercise. Give yourself time ...

Day 15: The Ritual of Release

Assignment: Take the unsent letter from Day 8 (or a symbolic object representing what you are letting go) and safely burn it, bury it, or submerge it in water. As it dissolves or turns to ash, speak out loud: "I return this to the past. It no longer belongs in my present."

Day 16: Reframing the Narrative

Assignment: Rewrite the story from the perspective of sovereignty rather than victimhood. Change "This happened to me and ruined X" to "This happened, it was painful, but I survived it, learned my boundaries, and reclaimed my peace."

Day 17: Filling the Void

Assignment: Releasing a heavy burden leaves open space in your life and mind. Choose a new nourishing focus, project, habit, or joy to fill that space today so your brain doesn't default back to ruminating on the old pain.

Day 18: Protecting Your Boundaries

Assignment: Forgiveness does not mean lower standards. Write down the clear, unshakeable boundaries you need in your life going forward to ensure you never allow a similar situation to compromise your peace again. Focus on relational distance protocols (e.g. low contact, no contact, or strict energetic boundaries) alongside emotional letting go.

Day 19: Cultivating Present-Moment Anchors

Assignment: Whenever your mind wanders back to the past story today, use a physical grounding ritual—touching a stone, feeling your feet firm on the earth, or taking three long exhales—to return your awareness strictly to the here and now.

Day 20: Visualizing the Future-Self Without the Weight

Assignment: Spend 10 minutes journaling about your life 1 year from now. Imagine walking, moving, and relating to others completely free of this old burden. Notice how light your chest feels, how clear your eyes are, and how much energy you have restored.

Day 21: The Declaration of Sovereignty

Assignment: Draft a personal declaration of letting go. State clearly what you have released, what you have reclaimed, and your commitment to honoring your peace above all else. Read it aloud to yourself as a final sealing ritual
